KPAI data at the end of December 2011 recorded 1,851 complaints of children facing the law submitted to the court, an increase from 730 cases in 2010. Almost 89.8 percent require children to end up in criminal court. This study aims to analyze the intervention of social workers against children who are facing the law in the Tangerang Class IIB Women's Prison. The type of research uses Action Research with a qualitative approach. This study uses two intervention methods: Social Group Work in the form of Independent Groups through Group Dynamics, and Social Case Work in the form of Counseling. The subjects of the study were 10 students at the Tangerang Class IIB Women's Prison. The results showed that both interventions gave positive results on changes in students' behavior. Group intervention produces a series of inspirational stories through Self-Mandala, understanding positive self-strength assets, and the formation of future dreams. Individual interventions help students understand problems and rise with their strengths. This study proves that a humanist approach through games and counseling is more effective than giving physical sanctions in fostering children who are in conflict with the law.
