This study investigates the geological characteristics and soil movement types associated with landslide mitigation at nickel mining sites, specifically focusing on PT IFISHDECO Tbk in Southeast Sulawesi. Utilizing a combination of field observations, geotechnical drilling, and literature reviews, the research identifies critical factors influencing slope stability, including geomorphology, rock types, and hydrological conditions. The findings reveal that wedge sliding is the dominant type of soil movement, with Safety Factor (FK) values ranging from 0.91 to 1.37, indicating varying degrees of slope stability. The study concludes with the development of a potential landslide hazard map and mitigation strategies to enhance mining safety and environmental protection.
